Vocational School

At BMC Kampala, we believe that every child possesses precious talents and gifts given by God. Our church music school is dedicated to identifying these talents, providing comprehensive training, and empowering children to use their gifts in serving God. By nurturing their musical abilities, we help them grow in faith and contribute meaningfully to their community and worship.

In Matthew 25:14-30, we have the parable of the talents.  In the verses 14 to 19 it says:

For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.”

Just as the man or the master gave talents to his servants, the same way God has given talents to all people.  And these talents are not to be hidden as did the man with one talent. But these talents and abilities are to be put to work so that they can increase and be profitable not only to the owner but also to the community around us.

At BMC Kampala we believe all the people God brings on our way have precious talents and gifts. And for these talents to be profitable there is a need for them to be identified, training to take place then put to work.

Identify talents

Before people can be trained, first there is need to identify the talents that lie inside them. We decided to start the BMC school of music by identifying children in our BMC family and made our mind to take them through a professional music training classes where we offer guitar lessons,  piano lessons and Drum lessons.

It is so exciting to see how these children, both boys and girls, are so committed and creative in their ways of learning.
